Pesach Jeremy Stadlin & Friends live this Sunday!

Numerous times have I been priviledged to witness impromptu jamming sessions, kumzits and general musical fun with the infamous Pesach Stadlin. Whether this be in Jerusalem's Nachlaot neighborhood, Ben Yehuda Street, the Rainbow Festival or in bomb shelters and hospitals in Tzvat, Pesach is a charismatic guy you don't forget.

I always said I wanted to recreate the experience live on the radio. This Sunday I will.
If you have been on the Livnot U'Lehibanot program, been to the Teva Jewish Learning Center, birthright, or Yifat's living room, then this may be familiar to you. So be prepared for a live raw, unrehersed performance packed with unexpected musicians and guests.

This Sunday, live, 7PM Israel time, 12 noon Eastern Standard Time on http://www.israelnationalradio.com/. For more info check out http://jerstadlin.blogspot.com/

Interview with Harrari Harps on the Re-Creation of Biblical Instruments

Shoshanna and Micah Harrari discuss their harp workshop, Harrari Harps where they hand-craft King David style harps and 10-stringed lyres based on the Torah, Gemara, cave-drawings, and ancient coins. A fascinating interview on the spiritual and healing power of harps and their role as the original Jewish instrument.

Dovi's Poem

Dovi Holtz used to be our main technician at Israel National Radio. I havn't seen him since he left to become a rabbi. Last week he surprised me by text messaging me this poem and insisting that I publicize it so that he can "become rich and famous."

Once a cow went down the road
Where it met a royal toad
Said the toad to the cow
When you see me you must bow
Said the cow, that I can't
And she crushed him like an ant

The moral of this poem: Royal toads should stay at home.
