American Rock Group "Gov't Mule" Performs in Tel Aviv

From Arutz 7:

The American rock group Gov't Mule performed this weekend in Tel Aviv at the Reading 3 club. Before the concert they played two songs at the Mike's Place bar, which was the site of a terrorist attack in 2003. The band is comprised of members of the Grammy award winning group The Allman Brothers.

The band expressed no political opinions. In an interview with the Jerusalem Post's David Brinn, guitarist Warren Haynes said that due to travelling, he was unaware that other bands had cancelled their Israeli tour dates. Haynes stated, "I can see both sides of the issue, but unless you’re fearing for your safety, I think you should carry through on the shows that are booked. Our intention is to play for our fans, and it’s not politically motivated. It’s all about music and spreading happiness and joy."
